Threaded/Snapped drop link???

Looked for post, couldn't find anything.

Is there a way to replace the prior 77 snapped rear sway bar drop link for the more modern bolted one?

Ultimately I would like to install the adjustable links

You are using the ball on the trailing arm?

Most aftermarket anti-sway bars with the adjustable drop links use an attachment on the spring plate, using a special bolt.

Would your current sway bar work with that geometry? You can buy the drop links separately.

I'm planning on redoing all the bushings in the suspension.

I just never liked the ball attachment. I think must be a reason why they changed it on the SC.

Anyway. It is completely stock. I do have some newer sway bars that have the later drop link.

I'm just wondering what to do with the ball on the trailing arm. I want to get rid of it if possible.

If you are not using it, just leave it there. My steel trailing arms still have the balls, even though the anti-sway bars are using the spring plate bolts.

If you are concerned about the weight or something, cut it off with a mill.
