After reversing the wipers through the luggage compartment which requires disconnection of the blower motor, the center A/C vent does not work. Someone was good enough to suggest that in the disconnecting and moving of the blower motor, I may have loosened the cowl off of the center vent behind the dash. I double-checked that and the cowl is on. I do get conditioned air now in the lower center vent down by ones knees and the side vents work normally. Can someone suggest what may have happened? Is that conditioned air getting lost somewhere inside the blower motor assembly? I am stymied!

Check all your cables and adjustments on the blower assembly. I know it's too late to tell you but if anyone reading this plans on doing a wiper reversal all you need to do is remove the tachometer and speedometer and you can do the reversal from inside the car in about two minutes.
