There is no colour code. The silver part is anodized aluminum and the black is, well, black.

thanks syzygy

I know that someone painted the wheels without onodizing them, obtaining quite good results....

so I'm wondering if some of them could tell me the colour he used...

thanks

The search tool is your friend...

Here are a couple that came up right away. The economy RSR thread is your best bet. Lots of paint info there.

Economy RSR Fuchs finish ???

And a more generic but useful refinishing thread:

No apologies necessary. Everyone does it including me. But I'm getting better. Google actually often a better tool if you search only a specific web site (advanced search function). Here one can't search for two letter words, like AC.

I would like to echo the vote for the "economy" RSR finish piece...and not just because I originated the thread. The latter part of the series, toward the end....has a number of people who call out specific paint brands and paint codes that ended up looking very good... you might want to look at those. Cheers.

As I said, I simply helped the topic long.....look at that thread and there are a different number of suggestions for paint type...as each had a slight variation from one another. Go over the last half of "Economy RSR finish" thread and you can choose for yourself based on the pictures shown.

I think someone mentioned "Krylon Dull Aluminum" as being pretty good...

The Krylon brand is hard to get over here in Australia, so I haven't checked it out.

As I search the later posts within "economy" RSR finish, we find...

- Krylon 1403 Dull Aluminum
- Rustoleum Dull Aluminum
- Rustoleum Matte Nickel 7277....
