OP I just went through this.
Two things for sure:

1. Get and engine stand. You'll want to clean, detail, replace seals, adjust valves etc. while it's out and the stand is priceless. As someone mentioned buy the U shaped bottom for better stability and to allow the jack under it.

2. Buy the P201 tool. The one shown on the eBay link doesn't fit unless you remove a bunch of stuff. I got away with using the standard four post adapter but I believe the P201 spreads the weight out evenly giving you peace of mind.

Cheers!

What is that last picture? It looks like an engine on top of an atv jack on top of a hyd table.
Mat

You got it. I got that table 5 years before I got the car. I was going to use it as a BBQ lifter that could be lower and store under the deck (another project that did not happened),

Its the 500 Lb version so when I find out that it could not lift (actually hold) the engine/transmission, I got an ATV jack to drop the engine. When it came time to put it in the bench vice, the ATV did not get hight enough, so I manage (don't ask) to get the table under the ATV jack to raise it to the proper level. I'm modifying the ATV platform so only the ATV jack will be required.
