Timming Chain Cover Removed * While I'm in there?
So, I'll be changing the gaskets, O'rings for Banjo Bolt receiver (actually the left cover came out too easily).
Anything else? What is the "plug" for, beside the Banjo Bold hole on the covers? ![]() ![]()

Not sure what you mean But make sure to install new small O-rings on the shaft for the banjo fitting. They seal the hole in the covers. Old seals leak!

#4 picture, plug is the support for the pin that the tensioner sits on. It is only pressed into place and then sealed from leaking on the pin side you cant see.

You could add the internal tensioner stops at this time. Its a good safety items should it ever fail.

Thanks, I notice there is a black "cement" in the inside to seal it. Craig Never heard of this... But then again. I'll use my friend the "search". BK911 Haven't done a Valve adjustment yet... So maybe next time. Thanks JJ

The right cam gear looks completely worn out in the picture.

JJ: While you are that close, I personally would not button it up without adjusting intake valves 1 & 4 and verifying cam timing. You are sooo close already! In fact, I would adjust all the valves. Cant hurt.
Holy poop, I didnt notice that!! Good catch,

That is why I posted... I will take some close-up pics. Any measurement I should do or you can just eyeball it? There goes my April 1st date... BK911 So you are saying to do the Valve adjustment without seal the covers, not a problem since it look like I'm deeper than O'ring and seal ![]() ![]() ![]()

They look fine, i think it was the picture lighting that everyone thought was worn out chain sprockets. However, it looks like the lower chain on the left side is cracked through.
J/K, carry on. Cam timing advancement can help with low end or high end depending where you set them (+-) but only a degree ether way, be carful.
