I followed WRC very closely when Colin McRae (RIP), Richard Burns (RIP), Carlos Sainz and Tomi Makkinen where dicing for top spots. Absolutely brilliant to watch.
I'll go out on a limb and say that rally is the only motorsport I truly enjoy watching. Things really changed when Sebastian Loeb showed up though. I watched for a few seasons until Speed stopped broadcasting and I don't think I ever saw him make a mistake. He's not a prick either, which is strange for a Frenchman.
