'89 Carrera Oil Pressure Switch

Does anyone know the what the thread specs are for the Oil Pressure Switch at the top, back of the block?

Trying to find a suitable 3-way "T" that can be used to tap the oil feed for two turbo's and provide a top port for the Oil Pressure Switch too.

Thanks.

M10 x 1.0 pitch (9.5MM wide)

Shank is 7MM

I hope you are planning on getting a new sensor, the crush washer is not reusable.

Jim

Here's how somebody modified the oil pressure warning sensor port on my '79 3.0L. The tee is used to feed an oil warning light switch (adjustable type to warn of low oil pressure, not zero oil pressure) on the left and on the right is a mechanical oil pressure gauge in the dash.

I'm not sure which hole Jim [DRACO...] is looking at, but this hole is M18x1.5 in my 3.6 and 930 engines, so it's a pretty safe bet it is the same in an '89 3.2.
Kevin's engine looks to be a similar size (where the black fitting is screwed into the case).

Good point Bill. The switch does not screw directly into the case. There is an adapter fitting (the black piece in my picture) and I agree the threads should be the same as Bill mentioned.

I think Draco is referring to the threads on the switch itself, which I do recall are M10 x 1.0 (which incidentally is the same size as a brake line tube nut, in case a test fit was needed to check thread size)

Thanks guys.

If I needed to tap two oil feed lines from that location and still retain the Oil Pressure Switch, what solutions do you recommend?

Yep, I used an extra s/s braided brake line to relocate my oil pressure gauge on the HD.

Yeap, measure the switch itself.
