A V8 in a 911 is something I do not look forward getting used to.
I'm kinda hoping it will be a one off. It's not up to par yet, they are working hard sorting stuff out. (that's the last I've read) Only a matter of time before they make it work. After all, the guys at Ruf live for these challenges. I still don't want to like it.

The replacement for the 997 is rumored to have a V8.
If that happens it will be the beginning of the end of the 911 IMO.

Hey, G-Man:
I agree with you, I'm first and foremost a Diehard Air Cooled fan to the end. They are works of art. I had a choice to buy a 993, 996, or 997 . I went Old School 1987 3.2. The car is so much smaller than the aforementioned. My attraction to the RGT-8 is as a collectors item. A unique machine from RUF.

However....look at it this way.....
It WILL give all those LS engine swaps into older cars.... some more legitimacy..... the all-alloy LS engines deserve or grudging respect.
