New spark plug tool?

well it could help anyway. The snap-on extendable extension, 3/8" kit in 4-6" and 6-8". A little pricy like most things Snap-on but it looks like a good fit for those front plugs.
Around $100.

James, are the sockets permanently attached to the shaft, i.e. 1 unit?

They do look nice but I've been using this one for about 11 years. Never a problem.
My OEM ones in the tool roll look brand new.

Snapon again.

it's just an extension, you still need a socket, like Peter has.

I don't know why people complain about this... I just use the plug socket and a medium extension... *shrug* works like a champ and I didn't have to pay extra for anything...

True. But have you ever had the socket disengage the extension? PITA!

Halm,

Use an extension with a locking device like this:

I just use some of this - still flexes, but doesn't allow the extension to come apart. And cheap, too...

Just weld the universal on - much cheaper and works like a champ.

The first time I used my standard plug socket and extension, I learned. Took me about 45 minutes to fish my socket out of #6.

Now I just duct tape the socket to the extension.

Duct Tape if my friend.

+ 1 on that Snap On socket with extension, it is the shiznit. No fishing around with a magnet, no duct tape, it's great, especially on the back cylinders.

will try to post a pic of mine tonight.

I'm all for quality tools, but can't see why someone would pay $100 for a tool you can make for around $15. Mine would have to break 6 times to break even, and if you're breaking a socket pulling out spark plugs, you've got much bigger issues than a broken socket....

I drilled and tapped a hole in the side of my spark plug socket, secured it to an extension with a set screw. Never let me down since.

Right on. I'm surprised we aren't hearing about broken plugs instead......isn't 150ft-lbs. enough?
