I am changing the alternator on my 1976 911S to one with an internal regulater. I am try to find the resistor that the Technical Bulletin calls for the battery charge indicator lamp P/N 911 641 981 00. Or can someone make or tell me how to make one. Any help would be great. Thanks Craig.
I also need the conector P/N 111 971 511. Or the hole assembly. Thanks. Last edited by 1976 TN Porsche; 05-15-2011 at 04:16 PM.. |

91ohm, 5 watt resistor. Not sure if it's any different with a Porsche part # stamped on it...?
http://www.tedss.com/item.asp?id=2021010814 Perhaps our resident electrical engineers can chime in... Last edited by Danny_Ocean; 05-15-2011 at 02:57 PM.. |

I don't see why any off the shelf 91 ohm 5 watt resistor shouldn't do the trick. I assume that if there's an actual Porsche part that it's simply because it's a 0% tolerance part instead of the 1% or 5% tolerance found in an off the shelf part. Buy a handful from mouser.com and find one that measures exactly 91 ohms.
