Where can I find this resistor.

[1976 TN Porsche]

I am changing the alternator on my 1976 911S to one with an internal regulater. I am try to find the resistor that the Technical Bulletin calls for the battery charge indicator lamp P/N 911 641 981 00. Or can someone make or tell me how to make one. Any help would be great. Thanks Craig.


I also need the conector P/N 111 971 511. Or the hole assembly. Thanks.

91ohm, 5 watt resistor. Not sure if it's any different with a Porsche part # stamped on it...?

I don't see why any off the shelf 91 ohm 5 watt resistor shouldn't do the trick. I assume that if there's an actual Porsche part that it's simply because it's a 0% tolerance part instead of the 1% or 5% tolerance found in an off the shelf part. Buy a handful from mouser.com and find one that measures exactly 91 ohms.

+1. A 91 Ohm 5W +/- 1% axial lead wirewound is available from DigiKey and others. Check here : Digi-Key - UB5C-91RF1-ND (Manufacturer - UB5C-91RF1) Might not be in stock as I believe 90.9 Ohm is the closest standard value. But...yes, you could buy a few of the standard 90.9 ohm and select at test to get the closest to 91 Ohm. Not sure what package type or case size you need for your application, but with some searching you probably can find the appropriate package type and case size.
