18? You've got an R32, a 928 AND a '23 Bucket (and a nice fenced-in ranch property) all at 18?

Dude! Did you invent Facebook or sumthin'?

Your 928 looks beautful and a 4.7l Euro S no less. Definitely worth hanging on to. I don't recognize the color for 1982. Looks maybe like Iris Blue from '95. Has it been repainted?

you, sir, have a very keen eye. Iris Blue Pearl is exactly what is. And yes, the color was from the later '95 GTS models. i had it repainted in April.

Damn, I missed the 928 bashing. That '77 is a bad idea for you. As mentioned before $3,000 is tops unless it has a 3.0/3.2 engine. By the looks of the car I would say the engine is in bad shape as well and that will cost you a ton of money to fix. If you want a good car and a good 911 experience, look for a '78-'89 in good shape. You'll pay more up front, but less in the long run.

Guilty as charged - Charter Member of 928 owners club - had an '82 928 as a daily driver for 10 years. Bought it at 29,xxx miles and owned through 70,xxx miles and loved every mile of it. Fantastic car. A friend in Wichita has an '83 928S Euro that he repainted in Iris Blue which is my favorite 928 color. Don't worry about the 928 bashing. My experience has been those with the strongest negative opinions on the 928 have never even driven one let alone owned one. I still think my '82 928 was a far superior car to my '83 911SC but just not as much fun to drive as it was too capable. IMO Porsche has never made a bad car, just cars with different strengths and personalities.

nahh some panels needed to be repainted due to a guy running into me. While it was at my house for 2 days before going to the shop, we had a windy day and the basketball hoop fell on the car. so at that point, it wouldnt have looked right if i didnt just pay the extra for a complete respray. insurance payed for the wrecked portion of the car.

yeah i take 928 bashing as compliments to the car and expressions of narrow mindedness and inexperience. As you said, if you are one of those people who talk negative about 928's, its because you havent had the privilege to drive/own one or you think that if its not a 911 its not a Porsche. oh well... i wish everyone could have the chance to drive/own a 928 because it is a truly unique experience.

Thanks for the scoop, Chuck Fricken Danger! I'm more impressed by your success at the young age of 18 than I am the 928.
