More Targa->Cab conversion questions

First of all, thanks for your patience so far!

Two quick questions:

1) does anyone have a copy of the factory conversion instructions - in English would be best - that they could email me?

2) What is this piece - I can't figure out where it attaches (the coarse-threaded rod)

Also check out: http://vintagebus.com/howto/cab/

Thanks!

I can take a picture of it later if you want...but basically, there is another rod that it bolts into that's bolted to the car around 6" down from the top of the frame.
So that when the top is raised, it moves into a locked position. You're going to have to weld that piece in there too. I'll go take a picture right now and be back and post it.

If you need more pics, I can take off the panel tomorrow--if no one else reponds by then.

Cool - thanks! It looks like I need to get this piece out of the donor as well ( center of the pic)
