tach for tach?

Would there be any complications from swapping the tachometer from a '78 SC into an "84 Carrera? The annoying upshift light is well, annoying.

I believe the wire on the '84 to snip is a small black wire and say bye bye to the upshift light. Do a search as this has been covered here before.

Or just remove the bulb, yes?

Yeah bulb would do it but you have to remove the tach face trim ring & glass to disassemble. Easier to snip the wire.
