Chicago Area Pelicans - Need to Borrow DME For a Sec

I am trying to diagnose a rough running problem and want to swap out my DME for a known good one to see if that solves the issue. I thought that it was the AFM, but believe that I have determined it is not that. I am advised that the DME is next up. I live in Oak Park and the car is stored in the western suburbs in Sugar Grove.

Can anyone help a brother out? Souk maybe... cstriet... Thanks a million.

Scott believe I have a spare DME. I'll have to hunt for it since the move, I've not had a chance to organize much. I'm down 47 from the airport now. Shoot me an e-mail.

Instead of trying a good DME in your car, you should try your DME in someone else's car.
Reason: If your car/motor hurt your DME (idle stabilizer valve shorted, etc) you don't want to damage someone else's DME by putting it in your car.

"I am trying to diagnose a rough running problem and want to swap out my DME for a known good one to see if that solves the issue."

The 911 3.2 DME ECM is for the most part very reliable and rarely if ever causes
problems as described above. Typically there are very few failure modes and
these comprise over 90% of all failures. Check here under 'Generic" for the most
common failure modes: Problems
