Mmm! I just got back from two days of hard DE at NJMP's Thunderbolt Course... I can't say I noticed any vibration with mine. Maybe it's something further down than the shifter.

Thanks Pete, I have seen the earlier threads, but no one has really addressed my question. I'm not sure about shortening the throw... there are people on this thread who say the WEVO does nothing there. And the appearance... I frankly think the WEVO is the klutziest looking add-on you could find. But lets forget aesthetics... people like different looks. I still don't think I've seen anything by anyone who had seriously tried both and has an informed opinion as to the functionality of each. I have a Seine, and like it. I'd trade it in for a Wevo, (or the Rennline product which many prefer) if anyone could tell me how one of those is superior. I don't doubt that it may be, I'd just like some evidence.

I installed my Wevo shifter last year.

After some hesitations in adjusting , i found finally the good position (Shifter and PSJ) , and that has changed my gearbox feeling : more precision , more sensations .

For me THE upgrade to purchase.

But that needs adjustments , precises adjustments to be perfect.

Just my opinion.

Nice responses thanks. I currently have a Seine w/short shift kit that is set up pretty well right now. I'd like to drive a properly set up WEVO but from what it sounds it wont be much of an upgrade. Interesting.

I would pull the shifter out of the car and clean and relube it. There are a few parts that could be loose, namely the end of your shift rod inside the tunnel, and the set screw that holds the wevo shift lever pivot box. (I'd guess the set screw)
Also, I did have to replace my brass plunger tips after many thousands of miles... they had worn down a bit, which gave me a bit of side-to-side slop.

Love my WEVO, though, and Hayden was very nice and helpful in getting me the parts quickly.

I have never liked the 915 transmission although it is lighter. Mine was badly worn when I bought it and I had it rebuilt with new 1st 2nd gears and syncros...still hard to shift especially when going from 3rd to 2nd downshift. I changed the rear bushings and went to a factory short shift kit but it still is very stiff and seems like a truck. Does the WEVO or Sein Systems kit make it shift smoother and quicker?

The best shifter won't overcome any deficiencies inside the gearbox. Whether the gearbox synchros are wearing, worn or healthy, I suggest learning how to double-clutch in order to select the desired gear and/or to extend gearbox life.

As for reducing shift throws, the Wevo provides this capability. The Seine Systems Gate Shift kit does not, but using the factory short shift kit with it produces an equivalent result in that respect.

gate shift

I just installed the siene gate shift to my existing short shift(which I did not even know I had) along with new bushings under the stick and a stromski coupler in the rear. All this for $350 and 3 hours of work. Not sure on the wevo set up but I am now a firm believer in the new set up I have.

I had the shift gate installed in my 915 when I had TRE rebuild it. I had to upgrade the rest of the system fast because the gateshift made everything so precise. I put in the WEVO coupler, all new bushings and a factory short shift kit......what a difference. the 915 is sweet.

I have no desire for a new shifter. Mine looks very stock and it is OEM [couple little mods though], and it works great.

I skipped both of these and went with the hargett shifter in my 915. I have only had the chance to drive it a couple of times, but, I can't imagine anything on the market that does a better job than this shifter system...
