Question 911SC 3.6 conversion done tach not working

I just had a 95 non vario 3.6 motor installed in my SC. Everything is fine but the tach doesn't work. It bounces up and down to 2000rpm then just drops to zero when motor revs above. It was working fine before conversion.

Anyone know what the problem might be?

Any shops to fix tachs in the Los Angeles area?
