Installing the new MSD Digital 6-Plus

Just got the new MSD Digital 6-Plus in the mail today. May attempt to install it this weekend. Research found that I will need the 8910 Rev/Tach
adaptor $ 40.00 in addition to the cost of the unit itself. Summit Racing $ 275.00.
The Digital 6-plus has all the old external features such as tach/Rev limiter built into it but in addition has a start retard, adjustable 2-stage Rev limiter, LED operating light and a diagnostics port for ignition system testing.
As Wayne explains in his 101 Projects Book regarding installing the MSD analog unit, most everything is straight forward. The engineer that
talked to me from MSD as well as the support staff knew little to nothing much about the Porche 911 or the MSD applications regarding it. Therefore... I am looking for anyone who has installed the MSD Digital 6-Plus in their car. It looks like the same ol same ol as installing the MSD anlog unit except the Digital Plus has a RISC computer chip in it and may have an effect on the injection system operation unlike the ol analog unit. If any one is in know, give me comment or too. Thanks
Antares

There are a number of posts in the past about installing the MSD6's. I'd do a quick search on "MSD" and review those. It sounds like your unit has a bunch of extra stuff that really isn't needed for a 911. Installation also depends on the year/model that your installing the unit into.

I have an MSD6 in my car and I love it. I how it works out as well for you.

There is a tech article in our creator's new book "101 Projects for your 911". The book is in this site. BTW, I installed the 6al in my 930 and it runs great. Good luck.
