Looks awesome!
|
Thanks Jim,
I will be reaching out to you for your autocad skills very soon! Need to make an adapter for the A/C and it is likely beyond my basic skills… (but I’ll give it a try first) |
Absolutely! I think I still have many of the AC components that came with my car (mechanical stuff) if it's useful to you for mounting patterns. I figure the Electromotive is quite different...
|
Definitely different, in a good way. :)
I sent you an email with more information as to what I am referencing. |

Any specific reason why you ditched the old EFI? Cheers, Johan |
Only changing because I can… :)

Took a little more time off work today and all day tomorrow to spend some quality time with Heinz.
All the new wiring is done, new Megasquirt ECU is mounted, linkages lubed and adjusted to a decent starting point. Have to pick up some new fuel line tomorrow and install the Pressure regulator and fuel lines. Then set up the ECU parameters and then it might be time to fire it up and do some balancing etc. (Rain hats and intake air temp sensor and oil tank vent go on last) Pics: Fuse panel area. (Visible grey connectors are for injector harnesses) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1623906050.jpg Overall http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1623906050.jpg Fuse panel cover installed. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1623906050.jpg |

Dennis, have you seen the transparent rain hats that are available?

Pretty much done in the engine bay.
Soon it will be time to put in the different parameters for the Megasquirt. :) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1623970266.jpg |
Keeping the distributor? Moving to COP later?

I’ve seen a lot of posts of others doing both at the same time and struggling. My 2 things are Electric A/C and the PMO’s. I want to have those dialed in before I mess with ignition. Besides, I have the somewhat rare factory Euro Dizzy with no vacuum pods that a lot of people want for carbs. Likely going to work just fine for now with the PMO ITBs. |
Talked with Al Kosmal today and instead of going to the strange PMO crankcase oil breather plumbing that is supplied in the kit, I’m going with a breather filter for any blow by coming up through the oil tank.

Decided to install this device as well while the oil is out.
When the car sits too long (months at times)… I get a drip on the drivers side. Likely will take care of that problem during an engine drop, but for now, this will work. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1623989291.jpg |
Woo Hoo!!
It’s alive. Not sure if this will work. But here is a link to it running. Lots of tuning to do… https://www.dropbox.com/s/yhiuuoty803sdwa/IMG_1980.MOV?dl=0 |
All the electrical is working fine after replacing the dash harness and fuse panel.
The new CR A/C blower sure sends some air at a high rate compared to the original. I’ll have to get it charged up with the r34a soon! |

Your engine is sounding nice and healthy.........always a great feeling when these are fired up for the 1st time. regards, al |
This morning I decided it was time to install new hella horns to allow for clearance for a pusher fan on the Mocal fender cooler.
Made up a factory style harness with relay, and made provision for a manual toggle switch. Also installed a thermoswitch. Horns with cooler out of the way. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1624132338.jpg Cooler back in place. Still need to add a guard for road debris . http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1624132338.jpg View of fan from below: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1624132637.jpg |
Anybody know for sure if this is the right switch to mount on the dash beside the fuel gauge where I can feel the cut out?
Or know of a correct fit on off switch? I don’t need the 3 pole switch. https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/91161311301.htm?pn=911-613-113-01-OEM&SVSVSI=791&fs=0 |
