Is this the correct way to install the engine harness?

Hi Guys,

I'm putting my engine (1979 3.0) back together and am in the process of installing the alternator harness and shroud. I couldn't find any good diagrams of how the bundle should lay in relation to the shroud fins and the ground strap so I tried to use common sense.

here are some pics:

and the other side:

Does this look correct? If not, any suggestions on a better method?

Thanks

Rob

They look fine as they are although I'm not sure how you could stuff this up.

With the luck I've been having lately I figured better to ask now than to find out after I have attached the shroud and carbs that it all needs to come apart later.

Thanks.

I just put mine back in and it looks the same as you have it set up. I see no problems at all.

The only issue I can see is if you need to replace your alternator in the future you may not have enough slack in the ground strap. Usually the strap is long enough that with the alternator in position it doubles back on itself.
