Fair price for bare 911S chassis w/ matching bare engine case?

After a lot of consideration, I've decided to forgo my 911S project.

I've started to sell of some parts as I need to recoup as much a s I can - I suspect I'll still take a bit of a loss, but that's life.

Anyway, what would be a fair price for a bare 1970 911S chassis needing work with it's matching nubmer engine case (also bare)?

It's mostly striped bare and has the rear quarter panels removed (they were flares welded on to replacement panels, lap welded onto the chassis)

Off the top of my head, the chassis needs the following rust repair:
- Rockers (inner and outer - both sides)
- Some floor patches
- Front corner work (battery boxes OK)
- Rear longitudinal patches
- Rear quarters welded on (have a set of panels cut from a 70 coupe)

Sale would include
- Bare Chassis
- Bare Engine Case (matching # for car, but has been bored for 90mm P&Cs by PO. Fully prepped by Rensport / Ollies a few years back and on the shelf since)
- Rear quarter panel cutoffs from a 70 coupe
- Roller 'T' suspension for moving it
- Title (bill of sale from me + title from PO)
- COA from Porsche
- Blank front aluminum ID tag (correct 'C' series S tag - original lost by paint shop)

Any ideas would be apprciated
Thanks
AM

I have no idea on a price, but maybe your car and my '69 could get married someday? Interesting for sure...

I have a good Boulder Porsche friend, who happens to be active here on Pelican, sold a '70 S complete tub with a correct 2.2 S MFI engine, but not numbers matching to somebody in Evergreen for somewhere in the mid $20s recently. YMMV

a data point: I have had a few offers at $12K for my total basketcase but complete 69S. But it is a one-off car. I go back and forth on it weekly.

I think a lot depends on how much of the S bits are still with the car. If things like the correct oil cooler, oil lines, suspension, brakes, gauges, MFI, cams, etc are missing, the value will be much lower. I have a 69S coupe project with a non-matching but correct motor that I bought last year, which sounds similar to your project. PM me and I will be happy to discuss the car more and what I paid if that will help give you an idea.

I sold a 1972 911s body only ( seats dash etc where also there) for $7500.00. I suppose if you have a numbers matching engine case that should add to the value some what.

A year ago I could have bought a complete 1970 911S racecar for $18,000. It had the correct case with it, but it needed repairs. It was running and driving with a 2.7 in it and the original numbers matching gearbox. All rubber deco trim was present, but the interior was stripped and the window chrome and rear grill were painted black. The aluminum rear deck lid was gone. Don't know if that helps or not.
