Targa top question.

Hi folks I have a targa top that is missing the middle pin ( rear of top). Can anyone please tell me what that centre pin is numbered or called so I can order one from our host. Hope fully I have uploaded a photo and it shows the centre pin in black.
Thank you Justin.

That pin is not a separate part. On my tops, it is a cast pin.

If your top doesn't have it, you'll either have to fab something or buy a top that has one.

Justin,

What year is your car? The middle pin was added in a later design top - it's not on earlier top models.

Edit: check out this thread:

My car is an 84. But the top on my car is from a 77.

If you want the pin, you should look for a new top. That's my advice.

And - Dan is good about replying to e-mails. So - go to his site and shoot him a note.

Jugwahn,

I have two tops both with center pins. I will check tomorrow to see if the pin is a seperate part. If I can not determine from my tops I will contatc Dan he is only a few towns away from me.
