Custom SW chip - experiences and good Cincy area dyno?

Have webcam 20/21s and a modified exhaust that I would like Steve Wong to custom tune a chip to. Has anyone had this done? What was your experience from dyno to sending the info in to the chip? Was it worth it? I already have his standard chip, so I am not sure how much he will charge (am contacting him next week). I want the chip upgraded in two ways:

1. Custom mapped for the cams and exhaust (dual out)
2. 93 octane (currently 91)

On another note - any good 911 friendly dynos in the Cincy area? I have never been to a dyno before. There are some around here but it looks like most cater to Mustangs and Camaros.

Should I use Dynojet vs the older style? Not sure what the difference is. Do they hook up something to your tailpipe to read off the fuel/air mixtures?

I'm expecting about $65-90/hr - hopefully it shouldn't take more than an hour. Sound about right?

had mine done a couple of years ago and it is fantastic. Steve charges a set amount for a custom chip discounted if you already own one of his chips. He was great to deal with it and yes it is well worth it. I have a cam from John at drcamshafts.com and needed the custom programming that Steve offered. Call him and talk with him about it and he will be able to tell you what you want to know

Steve Wong is the best. I have an 84 ROW and I live near him. We took my car and flogged it up and down the 101 freeway on an early Sunday morning and he data logged my car and burned a chip to my exact car.

Tony, I replied your email, but I get a bounce back as an invalid email address when I responded. Do you want to retry under another address or retry?

The 3.2 is the worst when it comes to deviations in fuel mapping requirements. The spread is so bad that often it's been frustrating to provide chips that work for everyone, like a tailor making a one size fits all rack suit that fits every body out there. That's why you occasionally get mixed reviews out there because although it may work perfectly for the majority, there is the minority that the tune doesn't match correctly. That's where custom chipping and optimizing the AFR curve specifically to the motor can draw another 6-8 hp from the motor that allows the motor to deliver the maximum power it is capable of and reliably.

For example, I've live mapped virtually all the front running 3.2 track cars for POC club racing, and although each one of those cars was built by the same engine builder and are of almost all the same spec, no one chip from one car will fit the other. Some of the chips have a 15% variance in fuel mapping from the other! Little changes make a big difference. If we take off the megaphones and install a 2 into one center out pipe, the fuel mapping again changes all over the place. But like musical instrument, when you tune all the strings perfectly, it's like concert quality and for example at the track, you noticeably come out of nowhere overnight!

Steve - yes was wondering where your reply was. Sorry about the address. Please respond back to both tony.culic@gmail.com and tjculic@mit.edu. One of those should come through.

I knew your products got great responses, but the above posts make me want to go for the customized solution! Just need some info on the type of Dino and such. Thanks!

Hey steve I know it's a bit off-topic, but since I spoke with you last year, any plans next year for a new MAF conversion?

How about a Pooling together of the Ohio Pelicans to get Steve Out there and custom chip you Cincy members??? Or remote mapping???

I have to say custom mapping is the way to go, Steve just did mine and it is freaking Awesome to get maximum horses out of her and clean up the part throttle mixture.
