Kendall Transmission Oil question

Can I use Kendall 80/90 GL5 with LSD additive if I don't have LSD? Our host doesn't have the non LSD in stock.

The "leap" is not the problem... The sudden stop on the other side might be...

Consider the source.....I'm the resident sarcastic guy.

There is a 200 page discourse on Kendall versus Swepco.

Hope it works for you....

So how about Redline MT-90? Anyone have good luck with that in our cars? Its the "god" oil over on the VW forums!

If MT-90 behaves anything like their shockproof heavy weight gear oil, I would stay away. My '79 had shockproof in it when I bought it. Shifted pretty poorly- would get blocked out of 3rd quite often. Switched to something else and voila' it goes into 3rd every time ever since.

However I ran their 75W90 mixed with MTL or MT-90 (can't recall which) in my '92 AWD Laser w/Getrag trans and worked fine. Fine = shifted OK at all temps and the trans never blowed up in 50K miles.

Does the Brad Penn need LSD additive?

I use the regular non-LSD Kendall in my 915 open differential. I'm happy with the oil.

Why do you need the LSD additive?
