Are you sure that you are all talking about the same thing. The diagram is for the throttle position sesor and the OP is requesting the pin out for the idle air valve (solenoid). Two different things. This may help you.

The other two pins are for grounding the IAC to either the closed or open position. The ECU will modulate air by continuously cycling the grounds back and forth. It's this 'duty cycle' that determines how much air goes thru.

For the connector, I suggest either NAPA or if you have a 'you-pull-it' junkyard, many of these connectors are found on old BMW's and Mercedes...

Good luck!

thanks.. I think that you all are talking about the right thing, just using different names. What I'm calling the Idle Air Controller is the valve that allows air to bypass the throttle plate in the throttle body to allow it to idle. I will try the local napa and carquest (owner is a friend so he usually goes the extra mile for me) for the connector.

I gave the pins on the DME connector harness (thought that is what you needed), E Sully gave you the harness/solenoid schematic, and mytoy gave the exact parameters.

Can you keep us posted on finding those connectors? I want to MS too someday and would like to use some of the sensors from the Motronic system.

Clewett sells a real Throttle Position Sensor that is supposed to bolt right on.. Others have used BMW, Chevy etc TPS's though it looks like one has to make a bracket (see my post on TPS. one guy made a really nice bracket on his mill... unfortunately I don't have a mill or the skills to do something like that. Maybe if I had my rep-rap assembled I could make one out of plastic, but then again I'm not sure how robust it would be.

As promised.. I think I found the connector needed.. Got it from https://www.kayjayco.com/
had to order the connector, pins and boot as separate items.. We shall see if this is the right thing when I get it.. the pictures look right.

Will the EV1's work with our ancient stuff? They are close looking but not sure if they will tie in exactly like the originals?

got the connector from kayjayco.. other than being slow, it is the right one for the IAC, just in case anyone needs to source it.
