Tom: right on!!!

Of course not only do the 'stang guys get an easy ride but also a variety of GM's (Replacement Body Shells -A Rust Free Beginning To A Brand New Old Car) and the MGB/MGB-GT (TRF MGB and MGB-GT Parts - Body Sheet Metal--complete Body Shells (The Roadster Factory MGB Glovebox Companion page 119)).

I am sure ther are others but no 911's.

These guys do Mustangs, Camaros, and now Challenger bodies
1970 Dodge Challenger Replacement Body Shell
I may build some thing like a Pro touring car in the future. Probably a second gen Camaro as I had 2 of them when I was in high school.

That's almost the same price as a new targa top from the factory. I think the body shell is a better buy!

Only 6 grand more than the Mustang. That's not too bad.

And where would one find/order/purchase this part?
Is it a "recover/refinish" from an old "core"? Or is it a spank'n new built from specs?

Why, from Pelican, of course. Mind you, it's probably not a stock item...

I remember Grady Clay posting about how he wished Porsche supplied new bodies. I highly doubt that you can actually order one of these and get one.
