JB Racing Twin Plug Dizzy

Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience with the JB Racing twin plug distributor?

JB Racing - Porsche Engine Components

Just wondering how good it is in terms of build and performance etc!?

Thanks John. How are you firing it? Twin MSD units?

Easy to install?

I'm using one in my 3.0L with twin MSDs works great. Motor makes 330hp on the engine dyno.

Cheers

Gert

Nice! I'm considering the JB twin dizzy too, and firing it using a M&W Pro14R ignition unit with two MSD coils. Eliminate having to use two MSD ignition units.

Is installing this twin distributor an easy DIY task?

What's the process for physically installing the dizzy in the 3.2 Carrera Motronic-based motor?

Edit: also, what's the difference between the JB Racing twin plug dizzy and the Patrick Motorsports one, apart from the $500 price difference??

I have J&B's twin plug also. Since I already had a Mallory MSD on my old 2.7 I just added an MSD/MSD to run the top plugs while the Mallory runs the bottom on my new rebuilt 3.0L. I also put in a switch so I can turn one set off to make sure they are both working. No problems what so ever.
