Imperative that I connect the O2 Sensor on my cat bypass

Hey guys,

I recently installed a Bursch Cat Bypass and muffler to my 83SC. When we pulled the sensor through the sheet metal, it came out as if it was never plugged in at all. I capped the bypass O2 bung and did not install the O2 sensor, as I could not get it out of the original Cat. It is pretty well rusted in there. Shall I buy a new one and install or is okay without it. Please let me know and thank you for your time.

Greg

Buy a Bosch universal at the local parts store for $20 and use it.

Drill a hole, weld a bung, install the sensor.

Thanks guys. It is just capped with a bolt right now so I can easily remove and add a sensor. I will take a look at this bosch setup. Thanks Bob

If it is a 3.2 you can install a Bosch O2 sensor for a '96 Ford Taurus, just splice it.

Make sure you have the proper amount of wires on the sensor.
