This bracket used to attach to the fan blower bracket which is no longer there. What did you guys do with this?

I barely reconized anything... is that a 3.0?

On mine (3.2) there was no bracket.

Phew, I tough I was loosing it...

It does not help when I'm 7605 miles (and 1 month) away from from the car If it was not for PP I woulg go nuts

Is that just tape on the old fan wires? You need to fold and heat shrik those as they can still be energized by the controller in the cabin.
The bracket on my 3.0 came off with the fan so I can't help you there. You could just leave it there in case you want to go back to stock configuration some day.

Yes. Good eye. I think the electrical tape should be fine though. It's a female plug and even if energized, without making contact to ground (which the tape prevents) it won't do anything.

As far as the bracket , my fan support is gone (sold). Do you not have this condition on your car? Do you have a 78 or 79? Maybe that is the difference?

Yeah, that piece isn't on the '78-'79 so I didn't have to deal with it. It looks like it would be pretty simple to fabricate a bracket out of a hunk of aluminum flat stock (1/2" x 1/8" or something). Just make an L shape coming up from the stud below.
