Re-connecting starter for engine install ???

I am (finally) reinstalling my engine and trans, and am at the part where I wire the starter back to the car. Thing is I installed one of those hi torque mini starters. So, the thick black wire with the loop end coming off the chassis to the starter, where does that go_on_the_starter? Thanks!

The thick black wire with the loop is the 12 volt source from the battery. It normally goes on the solenoid of the starter.

So it's a positive, not a ground then? I thought it would be red if positive. OK, I'll connect it to the positive post.

So does this look right? There is only one post and one spade connector on this starter, and it's not on the solenoid but the motor itself. I connected both black and red on the same post and mated the two female connecters to one and connected it the single male spade. Man, if this isn't right I'm only going to find out the first time I time the key!
