Questions?
Hey Gang,
What euro light upgrades do you all recommend? Also whats a good service center in San Diego ? Does the Fuch rims comes in wider format? Thanks Remi 82 SC911 91 E30 M3 |

I've got a set of H-4 lenses waiting to go on my 83SC, with 50/60 bulbs. I personally don't see a need for what the Pelican catalog refers to as "bumper melting intensity" bulbs
![]() As for Fuchs, unless you've widened the flares on your SC, I think 9" Fuchs are about as wide as you can go without spacers, depending on the tire. I'm running 7" and 8" 15s on mine with Pirelli P6000s and haven't yet felt the need to upgrade to wider. Emanuel

For the euro-look, the H4 upgrade is good, but pricey (at about $200). You can also upgrade the American-style Hellas to H4 bulbs for quite a bit less (something like $40, if memory serves).
You can fit 7x8 or 7x9 (with 951 wheels) 16-inch Fuchs under SC flares. Here's 7x8x16 polished wheels with the Bosch HR (euro) lights. Here's 7x8x16 polished wheels with the Hella H4 bulbs and the US-Style trim rings).

Is Laura in San Diego, or is it Otto? All these SoCal places blend together for me...

First, how much money you got?
Second, how much money do you have? Third, some have gotten them for a song (<$800). I kept checking all the ads on all the Porsche websites, like this one and Rennlist. I bought my 7 & 9s from rennlist. I got this set for a bit more than a song, as the guy selling them posted just 10 minutes before I read the ad, and I happen to respond first. Or there is Ebay. I got my 7" & 8" 15s (track tires) from ebay. There is Pano, and excellence, but usually if the guy selling them still has them he is asking over $1600! Good Luck! P.S. If you find a set that is ~$800 or less good mechanical poor cosmetic OK. PLEASE let me KNOW! I could use another set of 7 & 9 fuchs for track!

Otto is in Venice CA, which is in LA County south of Santa Monica. Technically, both are in SoCal. Don |

I think our cars need headlight relays regardless of whether you're using 100w high beams or not. I use the cheaper Hella (Bosch now makes them too) headlights that bolt right in for about $50 each. My high beams are 100w, and I beg to differ about the improvement. It's like night and day.

Hey Nick. I just viewed your gallery pics (because I envy the 9" wheels) and I noticed the color of your car. Computers canplay tricks with colors, but your car appears to have the same gorgeous paint as mine, but yours is called something else. My paint is Smoky Quartz Metallic, or Rausch Quartz Metallic. Can you give me the paint code for your car so I can check out the differences?
