It's alive!

Some of you have followed my thread for my first engine drop First time engine drop
Today was the big test after tearing apart my 3.0 for a broken headstud. Filled her with oil, spun it with the starter until oil pressure registered, put some gas in her, and cranked it up. Success! She struggled at first with a couple of misfires then after adjusting the dizzy she fired right up. Hitting on all 6, no oil or fuel leaks. Set the timing and all appears good. I'm pleased!

CV joint repack and caliper rebuild and she'll be ready to roll. Thanks to all who have helped with advice and supplied parts. It has been a great learning experience.

Sure is nice when a plan and a lot of work comes together isn't it?
Good weather heading our way this weekend Thor... Work late every night, get her done and take it out for a ride. I've managed to squeeze in 500 miles since doing the same headstud job last fall. About ready to do a first oil change and valve adjustment after having it apart.

Motivation pictures taken during a ride on Saturday for ya Thor:

Wish mine went so squarely clean. I'm still trying to fix the leaks from the rocket shafts. Think I got it figured out though but I probably have 750 miles and three oil changes on it already.
