3.6 cylinder head temp sensor resistance?
I am in the process of setting up a MS3X for my 3.6 engine and I need the calibration values for the CHT sensor if anyone has them. The sensor is the same for all '89 to '94 3.6. I am using the CHT sensor for warm-up controls.
It is the usual three resistance values at around freezing, boiling and somewhere in between. I'm working on this away from home, otherwise I'd yank the sensor and measure it myself.

Sub'd for outcome of how good it works for you.
I can give you the '87 specs if you need, but it won't be until I get home from work today.

Cory,
In the absence of any later model numbers, I'd appreciate your numbers from an '87 sensor just to keep this setup moving along. I can't believe they'd be much different. I'm pissed off that I didn't think to measure this before I installed the sensor. At least the engine is still on a stand so it's not a major job to pull it out and measure it. A great little job to look forward to when I get back home.

What are you using if you don't mind?

You know Bill, you might want to actually measure since the book gives a range.
I have no problem getting it though, just throwing that out there.

IIRC I used the default Saab Bosch in the sensor list and it pretty darn close. It does not need to be dead on you can play with the numbers alittle in the warm up area.

I never thought to look in the manuals for the CHT resistances. I'll check.
For TPS, I am using the standard sensor that came with the Triumph Daytona 675 throttle bodies that I am using. I haven't calibrated them yet, but don't expect any problems. More build pics in this thread.

They may make more sense when I have something to compare them to.

Just found this in the 964 manual. Thanks for the hint Cory.
![]() I'll use these numbers for now and fiddle with them later if I need to.

On mine, I was going to take the median for each value.
