Open hose on cruise control servo

Hi,

while searching for vacuum leaks on my '80 SC I found an open hose end. The other end is connected to the cruise control servo. there are actually two hoses connected to the servo, one is a vacuum line coming from the throttle body, the other one is thicker and that one is open in my car.

Is this hose meant to be connected to someplace or is it just a vent to release the vacuum from the servo. Actually it seems to be quite long for a hose to vent vacuum???

Thanks, Manfred

PS: Yes, I looked into the Bentley manual but that didn't help.

You have answered your own question, It's a vent.
