Installing stock front bumper and valance

I'm replacing a fiberglass bumper the PO put on with a stock bumper and RUF valance. The shop called today asking if I had the two supports for each side (not the impact shocks). I tried to get everything ahead of time and from looking at part diagrams, I thought the bumper was attached using the impact shocks along with the bolts on the fender that would attach to the valance behind the bellows. Looking tonight, I found a part called "support for bumper" (PN 911 505 463 00), but that sounds like it protects the fender mounted oil cooler, which I don't have.

In searching I found that there are bolts in the trunk that mount to the valance. Is this the main support for the valance or does it also bolt to the bumper. If so, I think my front mounted oil cooler might be in the way. Sounds like this would be too much weight for just the bumper shocks.

Thanks for any help.

The bumper attaches to the bumper shocks. The valance attaches with two screws through the trunk and one screw on each side to a bracket. The right side bracket holds the horns and the left side bracket holds the washer fluid tank. The part that protects the cooler is irrelevant to mounting either the bumper or valence.

Thanks. Any thoughts on if the oil cooler is in the way of the mounting bolts in the trunk, or am I thinking about it wrong?

I can't say, since I don't know anything about the cooler you have, or how it's mounted. Ruf mounted their cooler to the valance, not the car.
