Has any one had any problems with the clutch helper springer sliding off it's post? My car is a '77 Carrera 3.0 with a '86 915 tranny. It does it it no particular pattern, but seems tight as I pry it back on.

I think the helper spring is pressed on, so it makes sense that it is going on tight.

The helper spring at the pedal is held on by the spring's tension and a little ridge the prevents it from slipping off.
It should be very tight. In fact it should be hard to re-install when it slips off. Could be your spring has gone too soft and is slack? They're not very expensive to replace.

there's supposed to be a washer and a tiny snap ring to keep it in place.
