Procedure for checkng power to the CDI unit

What is the proper procedure to check for power going into the 3-pin CDI unit? The CD unit is off the car and the three pin plug is exposed (red, green and black wires). I believe the red wire is the power wire to the CDI unit, but not positive. How would you check for proper voltage to this unit?

Thanks

Bob

Hi Bob:

Always thrilled to help a fellow with a 1/2 year only car.

This thread may be helpful: CDI Box Troubleshooting Help.
