Airbox replacement, How long should it take?
Just wondering how long it should take an experienced P- Mechanic to replace an Airbox in a 1976 2.7?

Not an experienced Porsche dealer tech but I can replace the air box, tube rubbers and intake tube gaskets in a bout 4 hours.

Thank you Thumb Doctor, do you do a partial engine drop when you swap out the Airbox?

With a partial drop (recommended) 4-5 hours.

Matt; figure about 8 hours with either a partial or complete engine drop. There are always a few little things that need attention (throttle linkage console bushings, injector o-rings, thermostat o-ring, oil pressure switch, etc.), and a '76 has automatic cold start that makes the job more difficult near cylinder #6.
