Engine/trans Jack Removal Adapter Question

Can someone that has one of these tell me if the post that inserts into the jack is removable, and possibly post a pic? My jack has a smaller hole than the 1 3/16 that the description says it needs. I'm wondering if I can either switch to a smaller size post or modify it some other way.

Thanks!

Crap. I don't wan't to have to cut it off if it's welded. I guess I'll have to make something or use my hoist.

How much of a difference are you talking about? I had to take a little off of mine all the way around the post with an angle grinder to get it to fit my jack. Took about 10 minutes.

About a quarter inch. I don't really want to grind that much.

My jack has a 22mm threaded plug that holds the jack pad on. I'm wondering if I could cut the post off and drill a hole to use the threaded plug to hold the adapter on. How difficult does it look like it will be to remove the post?

If it won't work, I'll figure out how to use my hoist instead.

I made the choice to keep the threaded portion on the jack pad as I like to be able to adjust the height of the pad. You could just grind/cut the post off flush and weld a different one on that fits. About an hour's work at a good weld shop if you need it done for you.
If you were a little closer I'd just loan you mine.
