Where's the intermitent wiper module on a 3.2?

My intermitent wipers have never worked on my my Carrera since I owned it. When I turn on the knob, the wipers run continuously without delay. I think there may be a problem in the intermitent wiper module or the wiring to it - however I have never been able to locate it. Does anyone know where it is or ever traced the source of a problem such as this? Any input is appreciated.

Just off the top of my head, it might be a bad wiper relay, or bad potentiometer (part behind the knob).

According to the Bentley manual, the relay for the intermittent wiper is behind the fresh air blower. However, if it is just a relay then I think the problem is more likely in the switch itself which is more accessible!

I fixed mine once and replaced it. I seem to remember it being behind the guages someplace. I think it is behind the clock in my '86. That very pricy "relay" is just an RC circuit with a one shot timer. You're paying for the R&D that went into making it fail after X number of years. The DME relay also benefitted from the same "fail on schedule" R&D program.

Are your wipers parking correctly? If they aren't, your intermittent wiping feature won't work.
