Accelerator Lever Reinforcement

my throttle stop was removed and it caused havoc by bending the accelerator lever. PP catalog attached

Pelican Parts - Product Information: 901-423-250-02-OEM

ive heard there was a way to fortify the part to prevent this deformation and a stuck throttle.. anybody know of a thread discussing such? did a search with no luck.. i hear this is a big problem with 914's... anyone?

Zims sells a much beefier-than-stock one of these for the 914 - maybe they do for the 911 as well?
