another late introduction

well another late intro as i am sure you have seen my various posts for help on my 83 Sc all these many months. i think i have it almost sorted it out..( but we willl see what happens when it gets cold again!).
i have also tried to give what limited information and help to other members in their quest to keep their cars running and while i am by no means an expert i have done my best.
i thought i would formally introduce myself to the board with my new /old project. it is a 71T that i purchased in Texas over 30 years ago from a retired Bell engineer, i am the 2nd owner. surface rust in some areas but no rust through, paint still shinny etc.
it is an all original Targa (motor and trans) and still has most of its paint, rear quarter was repainted after a bump....all S trim and factory leather sport seats.

a few winters ago it sat out in the rain for a day or two and somehow some water found its way into the 2 front cylinders , car was pushed back into the garage and you know the rest....no water in the oil but some corrosion in those 2 cylinders. engine would rotate 180 and it would lock up some mystery oil in all the cylinders and with some pushing in 3rd gear it now spins freely.

i think i will try to start it before i tear it down as it was running well before being garaged...keeping my fingers crossed.
Thanks again to all those that have help on the 83 and hoping you will bear with me on my 71. my cars are in no way garage kept and i try to do as much as i can service wise, I just enjoy tinkering and keeping them on the road.

Regards to all and thanks again,Ben
