dumb question - spark plug wires
Ummm you can pull off the crappy metal jacket spark plug wires on a 76s and put stock 8mm versions on with out issue ? Just because it has perma tune and Cis doesn't make the metal jacket version needed.

I am sure the OEM metal sheathed wires were really nice 36 years ago but sadly everything wears out. If you want to be sure before you change them out, start the car in total darkness with the engine lid open. The light show may amaze you as much as it did me. I replaced mine with Magnecors but I think any new wires will be just as good. The ignition wire change made a huge difference in how smooth the engine runs.
