check your thermostat when you can

Apparently they do go bad. Which thermostat is not like the other?

Remarkably, the car never got above 220 in normal driving even on a 95 deg day, and during heavy track use it topped out around 240. So the external cooler must be doing a decent job!

So, unless your car is running very cool, if you have the chance, pull the thermostat and test it.
