Look what I found in my smugglers box!

I got some water in the trunk yesterday, so today I took absolutely everything out of the front. Spare tire, lining, spare parts, fuses that fell down in the corner - everything.
I've had the car for just over two months and I don't know what everything is or what to do with it. Can you guys help?

Well shucks - my picture got deleted, and I really don't want to open everything up again.
There were 2 round black fuel pump things - fuses? switches? They had round contacts on the bottom. There was a 3rd that was red. The black ones had the same part number. I'm not sure exactly what they are or when they would be useful or how to use them.

There was a tall square thing, also black. It had flat contacts. I did some googling and found some pictures that looked similar. The red round thing wasn't as bright red as this one.

I also found this thing - I'm not sure what it is and the text on it was all worn so I couldn't read it. I think it said something about sealing things.

Here's what is in my toolkit. Most of these don't seem useful! The lug nut wrench doesn't fit on my nuts (but I have another wrench that does). What does the first tool on the left do?

I also have 2 fan belts but I don't own a wrench big enough to fit the main fan nut. If my belt breaks, do how would I go about replacing it on the road? Do I need to remove that nut?

I have a million fuses, so I think I'll be alright there. I also found what looks like 1 headlight bulb. I have a lift that I think fits into the jack pad hole on the side.

All in all, it was fun to explore all the nooks and crannies and dig weird things out of the car. Now I just need to figure out what they all are!

The red round thing is a fuel pump relay, the tool on the left holds the alternator while tightening / replacing the belt. not sure about the square relay yet. edit . square relay, seatbelt warning buzzer?

Red and black electrical things are relays, keep them, they are under the fuse panel or in the dash. Square one may be flasher relay?
No Idea what that tube is.
The tool kit is very incomplete.
The funny looking wrench on the left is to hold the alternator pulley and stop it from turning when you undo the nut to remove/replace the belt.

You better hope you have a road assistance card because what's in your tool kit isn't going to get you too far, especially if you have no idea what they are ... lol

The two main ones are your fan spanner/wrench holding tool (on the left)and the second one should be a 24 mm lugnut wrench (to remove the fan nut),you will surely need a 19mm wheel lug wrench and as for the rest of the tools in the kit they're mostly for your sunroof and side window emergencies ... like when a motor decides to stop working or something to that matter !

Those relays are a must and should be kept in the glove box and you did mention you had a spare fan belt ?
Get yourself a small tire compressor/inflator as well, you'll need it to inflate your spare or just get a "Slime" brand bottle of puncture sealant and carry it around in your smugglers box for an emergency, probably easier than trying to inflate your 20 year old spare ...

I'm sure you'll get many replies to this as there are all kinds of suggestions as to what to carry in your car

Cheers !

I do have AAA. I wonder if they can help in Canada?
I'll make sure I have a 24mm wrench for the fan nut, it would be sad to have 2 belts and no way to put them on. I'll definitely get a tire sealant can thing - getting out the old spare sounds sketchy. I do have a flashlight/compressor I bring along.

The tube almost looks like stick lube for the door stays/strikers.

Interestingly I found $6 Canadian money in mine.

What is the difficulty inflating the spare if you have a compressor? I wouldn't put fix-a-flat in anything unless I was left with no options.

Your tool kit contains (left to right):
Fan holding tool
Fan nut wrench
Allen wrench is for turning the (missing) Spark plug wrench
The screwdriver and open end wrenches are for miscellaneous repairs but you should have three more of them plus one with two closed ends.

If you have the owners manual, it will ist all the tools that were issued by the factory.
