Cool Where can I get a good price on a helmet online??

Hey everyone,

Need to get a helmet for club events. I've used a basic Bell full face helmet, and was very pleased. Anyhow, I'm looking to get the S-2000 rated Bell, and was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a good deal online. I've seen some ads in Pano and such, but I just don't have the time to do a research project right now. So, I figured I would rely on your experiences. Any input is greatly appreciated. The archives don't really show much in where to make a purchase.

thanks so much.

sincerly,

Many places:

IO Port
OG Racing
Racers Parts Wholesale
Speed Ware.

Most have very close prices, within $10.

Try Bell direct.

The website says all Internet sales are priced at dealer net.

Give Victor at VAS a call. He can usually beat your best price. His number is on http://www.vasracingsuits.com. Tell him I sent you.

I have been quite pleased with my G-Force GF950 helmet SA2000 rated. I bought it from Racer Wholesale in Roswell, GA. I just happened to be in the vicinity of their store. They had helmets with minor defects in the sliding vents (not structural or assembly problems). They sold these for $175. Their current price for the GF950 sans defect is $239.99. I believe that is quite competitive with any new Bell helmet.

Racer Wholesale also sells Bell and Simpson helmets if you are interested. Good luck.

jbripps,
Come to beautiful New Jersey! They will let you in free, you will have to pay to leave. Stop at Stable Energies, 175 Passaic St.
Garfield, NJ. Last time I was there, these folks had a bunch of Bell Helmets, and other brands in stock. I was able to try a couple of different helmets and select the one that fit best. Their prices were inline with others I saw on the net. I wound up with a Bell M-2.
I havnt been there in a while, its later in the season, you may want to call ahead with your hat size to see what they have left. their phone number is 973 773 3177.

I really think you should try on the helmet first. They helmets are all different in the way they fit even by the same manufacturer.
