Hi Mark, thank you for that!

Yes we try to keep the old school cool in the car even if brakes engine and suspension are upgraded.

So there has been some progress to the interior the last few days. Central locking is now working and the doorcards, are in. The inner top armrests looked a bit dull so they were reupholstered as well, problem with fixing one part is that it starts an avalanche to get all into the same finish....

Wonderful!! I just love everything about your car. That vented shift-coupler cover is a really cool touch!

The project has taken a year so far, engine was made by a great builder so no time went into this. I love the 114 yellow as well, for he next car I think it will be a Brumos colour scheme or a silver Martini one.

Beautiful work! I love the color you chose and the careful attention to detail not just on the car but on the work going into the car (e.g. the cover over the steering wheel to keep dirty hands off!).

Can you tell me if there were any tricks to getting the wiring harness and other assorted linkages out of the shifter tunnel? I am struggling with that over on my targa build.

Thanks!!!

Thank you very much for your kind comment! It's all about fiddling and good rubber grommets! We had the fortune that we are building a lightweight so there are no special extras like ac, electric windows, heated rear window and, and and. The only extra we have put in for security is a remote central lock. Let's see you car!!

Thanks! I think I will redouble my efforts at getting it out this week. The harness and cables are the most difficult thing remaining before the car can be blasted. I think you may have commented on my car already. It is a '73 T Targa currently in a pearl white color... I am covering it on this thread: Turning a "Boxster" in to a longhood!

Ah yes!! Sorry for that. Depending on what you think of keeping it might be a good thing to even get a new complete or partial harness. No fun in getting the car finished just to find a bad wire (somewhere!) when you start the car for the first time. Looking forward to follow the "Boxster" !

So a bit more progress since last. Starting to clean up the wiring, connected the windshield washer system. Side mirror on (broke into a sweat when I had to drill the holes....). Fitting the ducktail witch will take some work by the looks of it. Starting to fit the heater system in the front.

Amazing car, but why the trombone oil cooler? Do you think that will provide enough cooling for the car, given your location?

I was wondering that also. I bet he ends up going to a nice front-center radiator as that engine will most likely require some extra cooling. He already has the right bumper for it so it's an easy change..
