He has no race history. Engineer by trade.
He has done rebuild/restoration of 911's
Really focusing on getting all according to spec and to not make any shortcuts.
This, and family with small kids is why this will be a project going over years

How will the weight compare with the factory car?

Here is the nose of 962-170 which is almost the last Porsche 962 chassis produced. They went full monocoque on the nose of it.

Monocoque is still ready for roll Cage and body parts.
Dimensions for the rear V-frames (steel tubes from rollcage to aluminium Ox bow)
