1984 911 modification increase HP

Hi I want to know what modification I can make to my 911 targa 1984 3.2l to max the hp,
from the stock to the top... if is possible with out open the engine...
I already have a comp chip about 15hp, 2.5 cat-back with headers what headers have installed I don't know, and a K&N air filter... I don't know how much HP all that part bring to the engine...

any recommendation????

I think you are about there without internal engine mods. Regearing the trans would help the car seem quicker, but would cost some money. Losing some weight wouldn't hurt either.
I also would like to hear some input on your question.

weight/hp ratio is the cheapest way to go, you did just about the most you can do with the engine. Go back to a OEM paper filter, the K&N does not add enough hp to counter the wear to the engine. You can loose about 500 lb but it will look like a race car, if that's ok. Or add a 3.6

to max the hp - from the stock to the top... if is possible with out open the engine

options:
remove weight - go on diet - learn to drive - trade for viper

what on earth would you want more HP for....are you drag racing?
what are your lap times at what track...we actually CAN help you

What are the 0-60 times (compared to stock) for an engine with the usual upgrades? eg chip, bypass, sports exhaust etc?

Ed.

I'm with Ed on this. My '84 with just the chip and pre-muffler has more power than is needed for public streets, and I'm not yet good enough to need more power for auto-x or the track. I've got much learning yet to do.

good point, this is a porsche, and a classic porsche, hp doesn't fix everything, late braking and turning wins races.

If you haven't touched the air flow meter, now might be the time. Sometimes tightening up the spring tension on the clockspring in the AFM can wake up the beast. Just be sure to pencil in an index mark to know where you started.

Almost every Mustang that has driven near me attempts to race. I've beat them every time (even with my lowly 180/200 hp). Mustangs are loud...but not very fast.

I don't know about everyone else, but I would like more power just for the fun of it. I don't race on the street, and I certainly don't drive to my cars limit at AX, but the thrill of acceleration is enough for me. If I could easily add power to my car I would. I'm guessing that is what hyperkinesis is looking for.

Bolt-on a turbo. Protomotive Stage 1 330-375 HP, the upgrade adds an intercooler for 425 HP Protomotive Turbo kit Information- what do you think?. Dunno if they're still available - but these were bolt-on kits. Except in my experience, it wouldn't be just the Upgrade package that would need an upgraded 915 clutch (a Sachs Power Clutch gets pretty marginal around 300 ft/lbs)...

You're boost-limited with the original SC/3.2 P&Cs, because effective compression goes into the stratosphere. For more power/boost still, replace P&C's with Nickies/J&Es, replace DME with a boost-aware system, ideally twin-plug. That should be good for around 550HP without getting extreme.

At which point your problems will likely include suspension, brakes, fear and actually finding somewhere you can open it up
