need help to id calipers
G'Day all
attached are pictures of my rear calipers can someone tell me if they are correct for my 76 911s 1 appears to be dated 73 and the other 74 would this be likley i want to put kits through them so need to correctly id them. also the back of the rear calipers have number 26 on the one shown and number 30 on the other what does this mean also the front calipers are alloy and have 4 pistons in each and purple in colour i will post pics of these tomorrow but any ideas ![]() ![]() ![]()

Not quite sure what the front calipers are, but they are not original to the car. They may be Boxster. They do appear to be 4 piston type, so much newer than the car.
The rears appear to be the correct vented M calipers for that year. The numbers on the calipers are generally casting identifiers, not dates.

thanks for the info rear all sorted now even after struggling with 3 seized pistons
the front pictures are now attached and are clearly Brembo but from what dont need any parts now but how do i know what to order in the future ![]() ![]() ![]() are these standard porsche discs and what about pads

I would have to guess that "986" indicates Boxster brakes...

Thanks all brakes now sorted
yes they are boxter 97-04 only issue is which disc do i need to get in the future boxter or 911 they are 24 mm

If I recall this conversion right it is the normal 911 rotors, as the boxster rotors have a different offset, but I think a quick search on the forum should turn up a better answer than I can give off the top of my head, whats the rotor diameter?
