Looking to build a rotisserie. Anyone have drawings to share?
I'm looking to build a rotisserie for my rebuild I will be starting this winter. Does anyone have some drawings and measurements I could use to go off of?

You would need to adapt it to a 911 but this is agood place to start: The Rack | Emory Motorsports

There's a thread from down under where a very talented guy made one of those for his 911.
I believe he even posted the dimensions. |

Thanks guys, this helps a lot. I'm in Canada, so metric is just fine.

Procan,
I borrowed Fishcop's idea and am building an Octisserie for my project. I am in the States (Florida) and sketched it up in a CAD program using Fishcop's dimensions but then converted to English units, primarily because the materials available here are all in English units. I have a drawing created but it is not quite ready for primetime as there are a few things I figured I would build in place first, then get measurements and update my drawing. My intention is to post my drawing in my build thread here when it is ready: Turning a "Boxster" in to a longhood! I finished the forward octagon yesterday. The below picture is sans gussets at the top and the studs on which the connecting bars attach. I just used scraps of 1/8" plate for my gussets but didn't take a follow up picture when I was done. I have spent less than $250 on materials so far and think I will be under $300 including consumables when all is said and done. ![]() |

A litttle more detail on Fishcop's design:

300hp 1800lbs is the goal

Couple $50 1000lb engine stands.... extend the mast.... reinforce it into A shape .... join them with some long steel tubing. Check your local metal recycling bin for free scrap
![]() If you want to get crazy (extra ~$20).... put a locking hand winch on each end with some high strength eyelets and you have infinite locking positions.

I like the harbor freight engine stand idea. I love any excuse to go to harbor freight.
